Polar Explorer Visits Year 3

24th May 2019
Our children in Year 3 and 4 had the opportunity to find out what it is like to be a polar explorer and even try on the clothes you would wear in the arctic. Simon joined us this half term to share his experiences as part of the STEM Ambassador programme. Ambassadors are volunteers from a wide range of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related jobs and disciplines across the UK. They offer their time and enthusiasm to help bring STEM subjects to life and demonstrate the value of them in life and careers. The children have been learning about arctic climates and habitats in science and it was wonderful to learn from and to be able to ask questions of someone who has actually been there.
