Tree Planting

11th March 2018

On Monday, in the worse weather of the week, pupils from year 4, 5 and 6 went to undertake tree planting. They also learnt about habitats and different types of trees. Kay Thompson, the National Forest Project Officer sent this message to school:

I am writing to say a big THANK YOU to all the children and teachers who came out to plant trees on Monday.

I was very impressed by how enthusiastic and cheerful the children were, despite the fact that many did not have any wellies and must have been quite uncomfortable in the wet conditions.

There were some good listening skills shown by the children, and everyone was very well behaved.  When it came time to go home on the bus, I also noticed how sensible everyone was being when it came to getting out of wet, muddy shoes and coats.  No one made a fuss, and everyone was being very considerate of the bus driver and his brand new coach!

Well done to all of you

We are proud of the way everyone behaved. The pupils are a credit to you and the school, congratulations on such positive behaviour and attitude.
